nbtaylor@gmail.comJust your run of the mill history major turned music major turned history major turned CS major turned CS/Math major. In some circles, I'm known as Frobozz. In others, I'm Dijkstracula (the graph theory vampire). In yet others, I'm Nathan.
I like math. My interests include discrete math, and abstract algebra, especially group theory.
I also like CS. My interests include distributed systems and language theory. I like interesting programming languages that let me get stuff done quicker and/or that blow my mind (such as Lisp and Prolog and Erlang, and increasingly, fun with C++ template metaprogramming)
I also like music. Due to a strong and early influence by Commander Riker, I play trombone; in what seems like another life, I studied trombone. If you were to glance at my collection of CDs and vinyl, you'd probably see a lot of 20th century works, wind band discs, and opera.
My goal in life is to get nerds with big beards and suspenders to refer to me on USENET only by my initials.
Geek Code 3.1:
GCS/MU d+ s+:+ a-- C++(+++) U+>+++ P-- L-- E W(--)++ N o? K- w++>++++$ O- M-(+) V? PS++ PE@ Y+ PGP t++* 5+ X+ R(+) tv+ b+ DI-- D---(++) G+ e>++++ h! !r* y
